Have you been tricked? Duped? Bamboozled? Have you taken the bait and believed the lie that you can do it all? Have you bought into the line of thinking that tells you to tie a knot and just hang on when you've reached the end of your rope?
You don't have to, you know. You don't have to just hang on, swinging there all by yourself. You don't have to suck it up and put on a pretty face and sit there all alone.
Truth is, you can't do it on your own. Neither can I. I need you. I need you to help me plan a party without losing my mind. I need you to encourage me to keep on writing. I need you to make me laugh out loud and rethink my coffee habit. I need you to teach me how to accessorize my house. I need you to help me smile just right when you point your camera in my direction. I need you to remind me just how much I need you.
We need each other. And when I act as if I always have it all together, and I never ever ask for help, or I don't answer "Yes, please!" when help is offered, I take away your opportunity to do the thing you were so beautifully and wonderfully and perfectly made to do.
