Being invited to write a guest post is exactly the same as being invited to your girlfriend's house for coffee. She wants to sit with you and get your perspective. She wants a chance to see things the way you see them. You make her world a bigger place. You help her see the world a different way. She likes hanging out with you, and she wants to introduce you to all her friends.
She likes the way you think. The way you talk. The way you've overcome that challenge in your life. She loves it when you tell your story, and she likes the way you encourage her to be exactly who she is.
You inspire her.
You're the reason you were invited. Because the person extending the invitation likes you just the way you are. She likes what you have to say. And she likes the way you say it.
So when you get the invite, just. be. you. You're the only one who can say it the way you do. And the rest of us? We need to you hear you say it. Just like that.
