Who You Really Are (A Guest Post By Holley Gerth)

wedding 035
Sometimes life knocks the wind out of you.

You wonder, “Can I get back up?”

Let me lean in close and whisper to your heart…

“You can, my beautiful friend, you can.”

We all have times when discouragement knocks on our door,

when doubt creeps in, when we feel so very small.

But those are the moments when God’s love can be the biggest,

when He’s there with open arms, with truth that reminds us

who we are.

And who are you?

You are loved.{psalm 103:11}

You have a purpose.{philippians 1:6}

You are not alone. {psalm 73:23}

And you are stronger than you know.{philippians 4:13}

Nothing can change that—

not this day, that situation, those thoughts inside your mind.

Who you are is secure in the hands of the One who made you,

the same hands that spoke stars into being,

who can stretch from one end of the sea to the other,

who counts every hair on your head.

Keep going, my sister
.
Press in, press on and never give up.

We will do this together.

With each other.

With Him.

For as long as it takes.

Holley Gerth is one of my very favorite people in the whole entire world. She is co-founder of (in)courage, and she may very well the most sincerely encouraging person I have met in my life. Case in point: the title of her newest book, You're Already Amazing, which will be released next Spring. You'll want to be sure to get a copy of your own. In the meantime, be sure to visit Holley at her blog, Heart To Heart With Holley, where she connects with women right where we are.

Thank you, Holley!

Sometimes I find we have to put one of our toes before another toe, before we can put one foot in front of another. This is a season of that for me and I am so thankful for encouragers like Holley on the way! Love the name of your blog by the way.
